The Challenge
Bueni had quickly built a fantastic reputation in Lagos for its open-flame cooking, Mediterranean dishes and welcoming atmosphere. But without a website, there was no easy way for new customers to discover the restaurant, learn about upcoming events or find essential information before visiting. The owner wanted their first website to showcase the personality of the restaurant while giving customers a simple place to explore everything Bueni has to offer.
The approach
Before designing the website, I spent time understanding what makes Bueni unique. From the open grill and family-style dining to the regular food events such as a large open Paella feast, the goal was to create a website that felt just as warm and welcoming as the restaurant itself. The site was designed with a particular focus on being a high-end, respectable website.

A clean, elegant website that feels more like a premium dining experience than a typical neighbourhood restaurant. The design puts the food and atmosphere front and centre, using large photography, thoughtful typography and generous spacing to let the restaurant speak for itself. Visitors can browse the gallery, learn the story behind Bueni, discover upcoming events and quickly find contact details or directions. Everything is designed to be simple, fast and effortless on any device. Hosting, updates and ongoing support are all fully managed, allowing Daniel and his team to focus entirely on running the restaurant.
