Originally from South Africa, I have proudly called the beautiful town of Lagos home for the past five years. A few years ago, I decided to pursue my long-standing interest in programming. I started by studying software development but quickly discovered a real passion for building websites. What began as a way to break into tech soon became something I genuinely loved.
Along the way, I realised how difficult it can be for new and small businesses, especially in a small town like Lagos, to justify spending thousands of euros on a website. Too often, the choice comes down to going without one or building it yourself with a page builder such as Wordpress or Wix. While those platforms can seem like the affordable option, they produce generic websites that are slower, risky, harder to manage and limited as a business grows.
Instead of asking business owners to pay a large upfront cost, I created a simple monthly plan that includes everything from the initial design to hosting, updates, maintenance and future edits. That idea became Algarve WebCraft, giving small businesses a simple, affordable way to have a professional website without the usual high upfront costs.
